UP, UP AND AWAY

In my beautiful balloon we went hot air ballooning over the Teotihuacan pyramids. Teotihuacan is the first known city to exist in Mexico, it pre dates the Aztecs by almost a thousand years. The Avenue of the Dead connects two Large Pyramids; the Pyramid of the Moon and the Pyramid of the Sun. There is also a third Pyramid and a Temple open to the public. We flew over the Pyramids and we went back on foot to see them from the ground.

Our trip began at 5:00 am so that we can be up in the balloon when the sun rises. It was a fabulous experience. The sun rose as we started our ascent, the air was clear, the balloon made virtually no sound, except when the propane burners were firing, and we drifted in the direction of the wind, which took us over the Pyramids to get a birds eye view. Seeing all the other balloons as they ascended and descended made the whole scene magical.

It proves to me that there is so much beauty in the world and a great deal to live for. Live life to the fullest!!!
