START OF MY JOURNEY

I am finally in Peru. Had a  day to meet all the other travelers I will be spending a year with and to adjust to my new surroundings. They are quite diverse, every nationality, race and religion and the median age is about 35. The group is older then I had anticipated, but it is fine with me. Lewis and I are the only married couple, actually the only couple in the group. We and one other person is not working; all the rest have daily remote jobs. A fun loving, energetic group. I am psyched.

I must say that not once have I thought about being ill. I only think about it when I have to take my meds. What a joy!

Peru is exciting, young, alive, and with great food. Have only seen a small portion of the city of Lima, but what I have seen so far indicates that I will go home loving this country.
